there is a peace in this cloth...one that comes from being just as it is. beautiful! so much to see in this one!

thank you Grace and Joe: your words are just what I needed on this rainy, rather sad sunday morning.....Nature is catching up on water after weeks of heat and drought.
All of the fabrics in this piece have been home-dyed, or with the already blue silk been stained with rust...a truly home-made piece. I have experienced a direct link here from the inspirational moths to a work of Art, and remain hopefull more are forthcoming......

oooh saskia....that central panel of the yellow and grey/green pattern is just beautiful! I'm so envious of your dyeing; all i seem to end up with is sludgy browns! VERY inspiring to see your work! thank you.

goodevening Jan and Yvette: a thank you to you two too for your kind words; just keep on going Jan, the experimenting never stops and if I not happy with the results, back into the dyepot I say!
I'm curious to see what it will look like in the end as well, Yvette, dagdag.
