pondering

sky today

I don't live anywhere but inside my head'  this thought literally popped into my mind as I watched a spider weaving it's web and I wondered about where I live and how this affects me; it seemed an appropriate title for this fresh dye-result and it'll probably be the title for a new piece including this strip.
I'm not sure I have an answer to the question I posed myself; I am more aware of the weather and the seasons and how everything is connected and how life feeds on life and death, living as we do in the countryside. And there is also a feeling of it not being too crowded in my head, thanks to the physical space around us, I am more in control of what we let in here, more so than when you live in town. Or maybe you learn to shut off there as well, anyway thoughts for today.

narrow strip was wrapped around copper plus elderberry-mush, dipped into tea/coffee/red wine mix in tin can, I did not record this earlier.

this was a rather disappointing result from the onion/cucumber peel dye, so I've wrapped the cotton around the copper pipe (instead of just having the copper pipe next to the bundle) plus fresh cucumber peels plus the old batch into the remainder of the elderberry dye, topped up with tea/coffee/red wine mix left over from the other tin
as long as there is still (rotting) fruit in the garden they're here too

Deanna: thanks, it was indeed a wonderful surprise the way it turned out and indeed to be continued in stitches
Nancy: ha, I hadn't noticed the connection, at least not consciously.

yes I noticed them over at your place too, and the dye-pots are very kind to me, Jude

beautiful butterfly! you seem to be someone who lives in her world, not in her head... I think of people who live in their heads as cerebral types, out of touch with nature and their bodies... maybe this is a language difference?

interesting comment Dee, yes perhaps you are right: I live in my world; I suppose what I was trying to say was/is I cannot get away from myself (duh) no matter where I live/am, my being there influences the place and vice versa.
I'm not sure this clarifies Anything....
