cloth drawings


I love to sew small bits of fabric together, without too much thought or design in mind; I also love how the plain backs of the quilts I've made up till now look, the white surfaces rippling with the kantha-stitches. I then thought: why not combine the two? I decided to add (off-)white borders to the small 'cloth drawings' framing them. These will all add up to the front of yet another quilt, in between the drawings I'll stitch (off-)white patches for balance, the back will be completely (off-)white. That's the plan anyway;-)

These are beautiful! Each gathering of pieces is a different story. I love the mindless stitching of small pieces, too.
