The Butterfly Curtain Panel
The Butterfly looks like I could have printed it myself, but no I cannot take the credit for that, I can't even remember how I got it, although that is a matter that could be resolved by delving into my blog archives
I realised once it was hanging I do not have to stitch all of the vertical panels together, which is good cos they are quite long and that means a lot less stitching with masses of trailing fabric on my not so clean studio floor, plus they can move/open/close/halfway, whatever way suits us best. Notice how dry the garden is?
added this pic because of the sunlight hitting the chair on the right, almost like it was backlit on purpose
Feeling rejected after having been rejected by museum about participating in an exhibition which would have been right up my street. I knew I had emailed too late once I had heard about it, decided to put myself out there nonetheless. What really bugs me is that one of the curators knows I exist and did not bother to come and look at my recent work. But hey, who knows.....
Instead of feeling too sorry for Self, one is allowed a little wound-licking, I went and made these fun collages using several female figures (one half male) from the advertisements in 60/70ies Bo Bedre magazines.
An old copy of Danish magazine Bo Bedre, meaning Live Better; my mum kept a couple and now have I them. Just checked and it is still being published. I noticed how some of these women are practically seducing you into their beds, not sure that would go down well these days in a family mag.
