instant karma

'Instant Karma's gonna get you
Gonna knock you right on the head
You better get yourself together
Pretty soon you're gonna be dead
What in the world you thinking of
Laughing in the face of love
What on earth you tryin' to do
It's up to you, yeah you

Instant Karma's gonna get you
Gonna look you right in the face
Better get yourself together darlin'
Join the human race
How in the world you gonna see
Laughin' at fools like me
Who in the hell d'you think you are
A super star
Well, right you areWell we all shine on

Like the moon and the stars and the sun
Well we all shine on
Ev'ryone come on

Instant Karma's gonna get you
Gonna knock you off your feet
Better recognize your brothers
Ev'ryone you meet
Why in the world are we here
Surely not to live in pain and fear
Why on earth are you there
When you're ev'rywhere
Come and get your share

Well we all shine on
Like the moon and the stars and the sun
Yeah we all shine on
Come on and on and on on on
Yeah yeah, alright, uh huh, ah

Well we all shine on
Like the moon and the stars and the sun
Yeah we all shine on
On and on and on on and on'

last weekend: apple picking in the front yard; imagine finding a blossom this late in the year...climate change...we seek to connect...apple caught between the twigs on it's way down...She could be Eve too...she is me...she is you...you are me...we want to connect

mild morning marshes...one day may i lay here or in a simlar spot and be eaten by the worms and maggots, be wrapped by mycelium, spread out over vast areas...we try to connect

discovered an old unfinished piece that could so with some Moon, Stars & Sun as shared by Jude ...we feel connected

so it was clamped and dipped into the walnut dye, which already held a linen, a silk and a cotton strip for a different project, more on that in a later post...we are connected

as I was nervous about losing the beautiful lower lines, I removed the cloth far sooner than I would normally have done, subtle and now I have to consider what to do next, if anything...moon stars sun...

meanwhile lots of excitement in The Dwelling as MadMonkey arrived with a TeleVision! There was No Where to install the huge box and so drastic measures were required, resulting in an extension to the living area cum library; look how neat and tidy it is now; several kind souls are moving furniture and have laid the make-shift table (a wooden floor block) As they have never experienced a TeleVision before and are not sure what a box could offer in the way of Fun and amusement and so several hosehold members have offered to contribute to the evening's entertainment with some live performances; hence Duck has promised to give a lively castagnet session, two of the Small Critters (clay frog and giraffe) are going to perform a dangerous balancing act on the trailer; Pelican has promised to sing, although not everyone's convinced this counts as Fun...

Mr.Hornyblowguy has in his capacity as Official HornBlower to OBK (no pun intended) offered to summon everyone by blowing his instrument, ensuring all who wish to attend, can be there in time for the Performance...

Chef, wearing a frown, despite the scrumptious & delicious looking chocolate cake he has baked, Rat at least is smiling, probably because he has been licking the spoon and bowl once the cake went into the oven; in yet another kitchen Luke and Marge have managed a cream and red fruit delight, I don't think we have to worry about anyone going hungry this evening......

a couple of our well-known friends are hanging out in OBK's bedroom, bless him, as are many of the birds, we are connected

we are connected

'Well we all shine on
Like the moon and the stars and the sun
Well we all shine on
Like the moon and the stars and the sun
Well we all shine on
Like the moon and the stars and the sun
Yeah we all shine on
Like the moon and the stars and the sun'

Ever since Jude re-started Sun, Moon, Stars that song has been playing in my head....and we all shine on. Connected.
it's not uncommon, but this post in particular, i find self wishing
i could just set out, down that road i have come to know so well, the one that you and black dog walk, it might be quite late afternoon, or early
evening, and i would be walking along with earphones playing this song,
my gait would move with the beat and i'd arrive at your deck patio and just sit down. it might be a while before you came out. and we'd sit a while,
because we're connected. Wouldn't say much probably. and i'd probably
stay outside for most of the festivities...with the black dog next to me,
but would come in just in time for the castanet session, a glass of wine
and then i'd set back out, turning on again the ear phones to that same
song, maybe pulling down a blind fold, like Yoko's, see if i could make
it home that way, blind, i probably could cause It's All Connected.
and we are
Connected and isn't it

Connectivity

It's that invisible stitch coming through
It's knit one pearl two
It's me and you and you and you and you and you
It's the super quintessential glue

The cloth reminds me of parchment paper. Love the eclectic doll/critter house! My husband is in the process of reconstructing/painting a doll house for me. Now, to start filling it with treasures.

hi there Sue, the fun you'll have filling your doll house, will you be placing photo's on your blog? I hope you will......

I enjoy Colonial, Shaker and prim furnishings- my husband is currently recovering from hip surgery, so, I plan to start collecting some items and will post as soon as he can finish it. (Smile)

so much fun to enter the world of the miniatures/... you bring it all to life with such distinction!

the reciprocity in the simple sharing of tactile gifts is one way to feel connected. I almost laughed out loud to see a piece of green striped silk that used to be a skirt of mine -- when I was a size 2. when I waltzed downtown to practice law. Much better hanging there on the side of your dye vat!!

well Sue, I'm even more curious now.....say hi to your husband from me, hope his recovery is speedy and as easy as possible give the circumstances of such an operation (I know several folks whose recovery differed greatly)

YES your silk Dee, forgot to mention that, but I was thinking of you a lot when it went into the dye pot, I just love how objects can bring thoughts of people to mind; the Gang are a constant source of joy
