drawer

the bed is almost done, I made a really soft matras and cushion and the blanket is from a beautiful fabric Mia gave me. The bed itself  (a cut off from this drawer) is hammered to the wall and has two bone legs. I remember as a child making doll's houses in cupboards and on bookshelves, mixing different sized furniture and carpets cut from magazines and self-made curtains  and clothes for the barbie dolls; alone, or with a friend, the story would unfold - like now - perhaps I'm still playing. The making and story-telling fell together, same now.

it's important to me that he fits in the bed and that it is soft and warm, I know it doesnt 'really' matter, but to me it does

hi Mo, he is a darling and the story's growing
and yes Grace it does; he also needs some moss and soft feathers like a nest, and I want to weave a small carpet for him with the goat's wool

oh i love this little story box. My brother used to make these and I hope I can find some of the photos... this is a great exercise in reducing stuff down to a where you can see it in perspective.
