I can only do what only I can do

I'm quoting myself here from a comment I made over on Grace's post 'what IS style?' windthread.

It got me thinking, this is indeed the case.....I make, try, do and am forever limited by what I can do and what I can't, these internal (f.e. talent) and external (f.e. money) limitations are not a bad thing, they are a good thing, because it means I don't have infinite choices, just the ones I can handle. I might well be wandering all over in my mind's eye, but my hands are working the reality of my everyday life, they get dirty and hurt and they get to feel and touch all that I love doing. Maybe creativity resides in the ability  'to make do' and embracing that.

I'm at a point now where I want to start giving workshops again, sharing; something with a walk in nature, using natural materials, like wood, feathers, shells and manmade, such as cloth, beads, paint etc, I 'm not sure yet. A few years ago a friend and I did a couple of mobile-making workshops, using river-bleached branches as the main 'ingredient' and loads of  other stuff for jazzing it up; what I found the most rewarding was the fact that every person ended up with a mobile that was personal and unlike anybody else's.
